We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Data Platform) with deep technical skills and a passion for clean energy. You'll be instrumental in bringing large volumes of data from various renewable energy sites to the cloud, architecting scalable data ETL and MLOps pipelines, and leading engineering projects to build and maintain highly scalable data management systems.

Responsibilities :

- Bring large volumes of data from wind, solar, and storage sites into our cloud-based data platform.

- Architect scalable data ETL and MLOps pipelines and workflows.

- Lead engineering projects to design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.

- Work closely with team members across various domains, leveraging deep technical skills to solve complex data challenges.

- Design and implement solutions for building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

- Build robust ETL pipelines from large, disconnected datasets.

Requirements :

- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.

- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years specifically in building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

- Strong experience with Python.

- Proven experience building ETL pipelines from large disconnected datasets.

- Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

- Experience with relational databases like Postgres.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in renewable energy or IoT time series data.

- Experience in workflow orchestration technologies like Airflow or Prefect.

- Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, EMR, S3, RDS, Redshift) or experience with GCP.

- Startup experience is a plus.
