Role Overview :
As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to create and execute automated test suites, identify defects, and contribute to a robust CI/CD pipeline. Your work will directly impact the end-user experience, ensuring our clients receive high-quality, bug-free software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and Python to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch, tailored to the specific needs of our projects, to improve test efficiency and scalability.
- Perform API automation testing using Rest Assured to validate the functionality and performance of our backend services.
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers to understand user workflows and create test cases that accurately reflect real-world scenarios, improving the overall user experience.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and faster feedback loops, accelerating the software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to contribute to a collaborative and efficient development process.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system, ensuring timely resolution and improved software quality.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement robust automation testing frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and Python.
- Proven experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and its application in test automation.
- In-depth knowledge of UX principles and the ability to translate user requirements into effective test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of test artifacts and their role in the software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
