About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead with strong expertise in Selenium (Java) and API automation to drive automation strategy, ensure quality delivery, and lead a medium-sized QA team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically proficient, and capable of managing automation frameworks, defining test strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of software quality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead automation initiatives using Selenium with Java, ensuring scalable and maintainable frameworks.

- Design and develop API automation frameworks using RestAssured / ReadyAPI.

- Apply strong understanding of Java OOPs concepts, Collections Framework, and exception handling.

- Drive test automation strategy, frameworks, and best practices across teams.

- Participate in all phases of QA lifecycle including test planning, scripting, execution, and defect management.

- Work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

- Perform SQL validations and work with backend data testing.

- Implement BDD frameworks (Cucumber/JBehave) and maintain CI/CD integrations for continuous testing.

- Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Cases, and Traceability Matrices.

- Ensure high-quality deliverables in an onsite-offshore model.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the QA team.

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable) :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium using Java

- API automation experience using RestAssured / ReadyAPI

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have) :

- SQL

- BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave)

- CI/CD DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

Additional Criteria :

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- Experience using ALM/JIRA.

- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Proven ability to work independently and lead medium-sized QA teams.
