Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in Python, PyTest, and Playwright along with hands-on experience in Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software releases, and supporting business-critical applications within the financial services domain. The role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation best practices, and domain expertise in investment operations, fund administration, and transfer agency processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and automation frameworks.

- Develop scalable and reusable automation solutions using Python and PyTest.

- Implement and maintain web automation test suites using Playwright.

- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.

- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.

- Analyze test results and identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.

- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

- Participate in defect triage meetings and ensure timely closure of issues.

- Support continuous integration and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure testing standards, processes, and quality metrics are consistently followed.

- Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity and test coverage.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA and testing practice.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- Automation Testing: 23+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation, strong experience in designing and developing automation frameworks, experience creating and maintaining automated test suites, and strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

- Python Automation: Strong proficiency in Python programming, hands-on experience with PyTest framework, and experience developing automation utilities and reusable test components.

- Playwright: Experience with Playwright for web application automation, experience automating modern web applications, and understanding of browser automation, UI testing, and end-to-end testing.

- Quality Assurance: Test Planning and Test Case Design, Regression Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Defect Management and Tracking, Root Cause Analysis, and AI-Assisted Testing.

Experience with tools such as:

- GitHub Copilot

- ChatGPT

- AI-based Testing Tools

- Intelligent Test Automation Platforms

Domain Expertise (Mandatory):

- Fund Accounting: Strong understanding of NAV Validation, Fund Valuation, Portfolio Accounting, Investment Accounting, Reconciliation Processes, and Corporate Actions.

- Transfer Agency: Hands-on experience in Investor Record Maintenance, Subscription & Redemption Processing, Investor Servicing, Account Maintenance, Distribution Processing, and Financial Services Operations. Candidates without Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency experience may not be considered.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

- Experience with API Testing.

- Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, or Investment Management domain experience.

- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.

- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
