About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Python Automation Tester to design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks supporting both UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong Python expertise, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for UI, API, and functional testing.

- Implement automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to define test strategies and coverage.

- Perform test planning, execution, debugging, and defect reporting.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution.

- Work with SQL and relational databases to validate test data and backend processes.

- Maintain test documentation using tools like Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.

- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Minimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.

- Strong expertise in Python programming.

- Solid experience using Pytest for automation.

- Proven experience in UI automation and API automation.

- Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and working in sprint-based teams.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Proficiency with GIT, and test management/defect tracking tools such as TestRail, Jira, Confluence.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker (optional).

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

- Understanding of performance or security testing concepts.
