Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement automated test scripts using JavaScript and REST Assured for API testing.

- Perform end-to-end API automation testing using different HTTP methods (GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE).

- Validate status codes, headers, and JSON response bodies for functional and performance correctness.

- Implement and test various authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, Token-based, etc.).

- Create and maintain E2E test scenarios and regression test suites.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.

- Handle defect lifecycle management and actively contribute to the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Troubleshoot and debug test scripts and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

- Maintain and execute CI/CD pipelines for test automation using tools like GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins.

- Work in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6 - 12 years of experience in API Automation Testing.

- Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript programming.

- Expertise in REST Assured for automating RESTful API testing.

- Good understanding of API protocols including REST and SOAP.

- Experience with tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, and SourceTree.

- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.

- Experience working with GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Sound knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience in ReadyAPI for SOAP services automation.

- Exposure to Jenkins, Docker, or other CI/CD tools.

- Working knowledge of test management tools and version control systems.

- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
