About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer who can build, maintain, and enhance scalable test automation frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals in either Python or JavaScript, hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks, and the ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain reusable automated test scripts and frameworks.

- Build and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and backend services.

- Perform end-to-end, functional, regression, and integration testing.

- Develop automation solutions using Python or JavaScript.

- Work with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Pytest.

- Perform API automation testing using Postman, REST Assured, Pytest Requests, or similar tools.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.

- Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, framework stability, and overall release quality.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- Programming: Strong hands-on experience with Python OR JavaScript.

- Test Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Pytest.

- API Automation: Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or API automation libraries.

- CI/CD and Version Control: Hands-on exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Testing Fundamentals: Functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Docker, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), database testing/SQL, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
