Automation Test Engineer - Python & Selenium

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python and Selenium WebDriver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust automated test scripts, ensuring the overall quality of software applications, and contributing to continuous testing and integration initiatives.

You will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working closely with development, product, and QA teams to identify test scenarios, automate test cases, and improve the test framework for scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build scalable automation frameworks and reusable test components.

- Execute automated test suites and perform result analysis and defect tracking.

- Work closely with manual QA engineers and developers to understand product requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.

- Contribute to continuous integration (CI/CD) by integrating test scripts into CI pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

- Maintain test documentation including test cases, test plans, and test reports.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

- Analyze failures and support developers in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications.

- Experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest, Unittest, or custom-built frameworks.

- Solid understanding of XPath, CSS selectors, and DOM structure.

- Experience in version control systems like Git.

- Good understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Good to Have :

- Experience in BDD frameworks such as Behave or Cucumber.

- Familiarity with cloud-based cross-browser testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

- Understanding of performance testing or security testing is a plus.

Qualification :

- ISTQB or relevant QA certifications will be an added advantage.
