Automation Test Engineer (Playwright)

Summary :


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our web applications by integrating automated tests into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to define test strategies, create test plans, and establish acceptance criteria.

- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects with clear, detailed documentation.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions) to support frequent and reliable software releases.

- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.

- Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identifying the root cause of issues and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.

- Stay up to date with emerging trends in test automation and web technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :


- Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer or a similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with the Playwright framework.

- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as JavaScript or TypeScript.

- Solid understanding of software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

- Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools like Postman or REST Assured is a plus.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
