We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium and Java to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks that ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to validate application functionality, improve testing efficiency, and support continuous integration and delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Java.

- Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive automation test strategies.

- Develop automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.

- Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end automation test suites.

- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar tools.

- Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.

- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate defect fixes.

- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.

- Review application designs and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.

- Perform root cause analysis for production defects and recommend preventive measures.

- Develop reusable automation libraries and utilities to improve testing efficiency.

- Validate REST and SOAP APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

- Maintain automation frameworks and ensure compatibility with application enhancements.

- Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality metrics.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for automation processes and testing standards.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices across teams.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.

- Hands-on experience in automation framework development (Hybrid, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, or Page Object Model).

- Strong programming skills in Java.

- Experience with TestNG or JUnit.

- Knowledge of Maven or Gradle for build management.

- Experience with Git or other version control systems.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM.

- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.

- Experience with SQL for database validation and backend testing.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.

- Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

- Knowledge of browser compatibility and cross-platform testing.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Exposure to Appium for mobile automation testing.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.

- Experience testing cloud-based applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

- Exposure to security and accessibility testing.

- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools is an added advantage.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MCA, M.Sc., BCA, B.Sc., or a related discipline.

- Relevant certifications in Selenium, ISTQB, or Automation Testing are an advantage.
