Automation Test Engineer - Java/Selenium

Experience : 5- 8 years

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.

- Perform API testing and validation using Postman and RestAssured frameworks.

- Build and manage automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM), Hybrid, and Data-driven approaches.

- Implement and execute TestNG, Cucumber, or JUnit test suites for automation coverage.

- Apply synchronization techniques such as explicit and fluent waits for stable test execution.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including pipeline setup and job scheduling.

- Manage test code repositories and branching strategies using Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.

- Utilize Docker or Selenium Grid for distributed and parallel test execution.

- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business analysts in an Agile/Scrum setup to ensure timely and high-quality releases.

- Participate in test planning, defect triage, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications :

Must-Have Skills :

- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver with Java.

- Strong knowledge of Core Java (OOPs, Collections, Exception Handling, File I/O).

- Hands-on experience with TestNG, Cucumber, or JUnit for test case management.

- API testing expertise using Postman and RestAssured.

- Familiarity with automation framework design (POM, Hybrid, Data-driven).

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).

- Understanding of Docker or Selenium Grid for test execution scalability.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
