Automation Test Engineer - Cypress/Playwright Testing

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Cypress and/or Playwright to join our QA team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automation testing, a deep understanding of test frameworks, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the stability, performance, and quality of our applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review existing test cases, identify test gaps and cover edge cases or complex user scenarios.

- Perform manual and automated test execution, analyze results, and generate detailed test reports.

- Investigate server logs, backend systems, and databases to provide detailed and actionable bug reports.

- Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues and ensure quick resolution.

- Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts.

- Design and implement test automation frameworks using Cypress and/or Playwright.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.

- Continuously improve test processes, tools, and documentation to align with best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, and test lifecycle.

- Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and test reporting tools.

- Familiarity with debugging techniques, server log analysis, and basic SQL/database querying.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.

- Experience in working within Agile/Scrum environments
