This role demands deep expertise in automated testing methodologies, particularly within payment processing systems, focusing heavily on Host Protocol Testing.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and executing robust automation frameworks to ensure the reliability and integrity of our critical financial transaction systems.

Mandatory Technical Skills & Experience (Must Have) :

- Candidates must possess significant, proven experience (a minimum of 6 years) in the following core areas :

Automation Testing :

- Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones.

Host Protocol Testing :

- Critical requirement. Hands-on, in-depth knowledge and experience testing applications utilizing complex financial communication protocols, including :

- ISO 8583 Protocol
- APACS (e.g., UK Domestic Schemes)
- BIC-ISO (Banking Industry Code - ISO standards)
- Raw Socket Protocol Testing
- Testing of POS devices and Transaction Acquirers/Processors

- API Testing Tools: Expert proficiency with industry-standard tools for testing RESTful and SOAP APIs (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI). Ability to automate API test cases effectively.

- Scripting/Programming: Mandatory expertise in at least one of the following for test automation and utility development:

- Python
- PERL

Desirable Technical Skills & Experience :

Experience in the following areas will be a significant advantage :

- Programming Languages: Familiarity with Java for building and integrating test automation components.

Web Automation : Experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation testing, supplementing protocol/API layer testing.

- Manual Testing: Strong foundational knowledge and ability to perform exploratory or detailed manual testing when automation is not feasible or necessary.

- Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
