Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UFT/QTP and VB Scripting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing automation frameworks and executing end-to-end testing activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using UFT/QTP (VB Scripting)

- Build and enhance automation frameworks (Keyword, Data-driven, or Hybrid)

- Work with Object Repository in UFT for efficient test execution

- Perform database validations using SQL queries

- Estimate automation testing effort and timelines

- Document automation architecture, frameworks, and user guides

- Execute and manage testing activities independently

- Collaborate within Agile/DevOps environments

- Ensure availability during critical testing phases (flexible working hours)

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience in :

a. UFT / QTP Automation

b. VB Scripting

c. Database Testing (Oracle / SQL / Sybase)

- Good understanding of :

a. Automation framework development (Data-driven / Hybrid / Keyword-driven)

b. Object Repository management

- Experience with tools :

a. ALM / JIRA

b. Bitbucket

Good to Have Skills :

- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines in Agile/DevOps

- Knowledge of Manual Testing

- Exposure to Investment Banking domain

Behavioral Requirements :

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Self-motivated and proactive mindset

- Good documentation skills

Educational Qualification :

- B.E / B.Tech or equivalent degree
