Automation Test Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in Selenium, Core Java, and API Testing using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and executing automated test cases, integrating automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Core Java.

- Perform hands-on automation of web applications, ensuring robust test coverage.

- Work closely with the development team to understand application functionality and design effective test cases.

- Develop and execute API tests using Rest Assured.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and work with the development team to resolve them.

- Review and optimize existing test automation code and frameworks.

- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.

Mandatory Skills :

- Automation Testing Strong background in test automation for web and/or APIs.

- Selenium WebDriver Proficient in developing automation scripts using Selenium.

- Core Java Hands-on coding experience including understanding of OOP concepts, in-built Java functions, exception handling, collections, etc.

- Rest Assured Good experience in API automation testing.

- CI/CD Working experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo).

- Strong understanding of test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, etc.)

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

Good to Have :

- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).

- Knowledge of cloud-based testing or containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.

- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira.
