We are seeking a proactive and skilled Automation Test Analyst to join our permanent team in Leicester.

This key role requires 3-7 years of experience focused on building, maintaining, and scaling automated testing frameworks.

You will be instrumental in driving software quality across multiple platforms, including web, API, mobile, and desktop applications, ensuring reliability from development through deployment.

Key Responsibilities & Framework Development :

1. Automated Test Development :

- Multi-Platform Testing : Design and develop robust automated tests for web, mobile, and desktop applications using industry-leading tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

- API Testing : Implement comprehensive API tests for REST/SOAP services utilizing dedicated tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.

- Core Programming : Apply strong programming skills in at least one required language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#) to build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks.

Quality Methodology & CI/CD Integration :

- Methodology : Drive quality upfront by implementing and utilizing BDD/TDD practices, leveraging tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.

- DevOps Integration : Integrate automated test suites directly into the CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to enable continuous, fast feedback loops.

- Defect Management : Manage the full defect lifecycle, utilizing management tools like Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail for clear tracking and reporting.

Advanced Testing & Tools :

- Performance Testing (Preferred) : Opportunity to gain exposure to or utilize tools for performance and load testing such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.

- Containerization & Cloud (Nice to Have) : Familiarity with Docker for environment consistency and experience utilizing cloud testing labs (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience Summary :

- Programming (Mandatory) : Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and/or C#.

- Automation Tools (Mandatory) : Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) and API testing (Postman, RestAssured).

- Methodology : Practical experience with BDD/TDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow).

- CI/CD : Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred / Nice to Have :

- Experience with Performance Testing tools (JMeter/Gatling).

- Familiarity with Docker and cloud testing labs
