Responsibilities :

- Develop and deploy Python-based automation tools and frameworks for network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and testing.

- Lead end-to-end network automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and delivery.

- Serve as the primary technical lead for complex customer escalations, providing troubleshooting and solutions.

- Collaborate with Network Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to integrate automation solutions.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for automation assets and processes.

Qualifications :

- 10-12 years of experience in software development, network automation, or SRE.

- Expertise in Python programming, including OOP, design patterns, and automation libraries (Netmiko, Paramiko, Requests).

- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, SNMP, REST APIs) and network device automation.

- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins, GitLab).

- Excellent English communication skills, with experience leading customer technical discussions and managing escalations.

- Proven ability to solve complex problems, prioritize tasks, and lead cross-functional technical conversations.

Preferred Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of optical networking technologies (DWDM, coherent optics, fiber optics).

- Experience with Open Line Systems (OLS) and automation of ROADMs, amplifiers, and transponders.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
