Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly experienced Automation QA Engineer on a contract basis to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in automation testing, deep technical understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, or Playwright.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and improve test efficiency.

- Perform regression, integration, and functional testing using automation tools.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure Test Plans.

- Generate detailed test reports and metrics for quality tracking.

- Ensure test scripts are optimized for reliability and reusability.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in software testing with a focus on automation.

- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.

- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.

- Strong understanding of API automation (using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools).

- Experience with CI/CD integration tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

- In-depth understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.

- ISTQB or other QA certifications.

Soft Skills :

- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.

- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
