Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning & Execution :
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans covering tasks, resources, dependencies, and milestones.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation projects from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
Stakeholder Communication :
- Act as a single point of contact for leadership, customers, and technical teams.
- Provide timely updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Conduct presentations, reviews, and demos to highlight automation outcomes and value delivery.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis :
- Collaborate with process owners and operations teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into technical use cases and automation workflows.
Resource & Task Management :
- Coordinate with developers, testers, and infrastructure teams for task execution.
- Manage resource allocation, ensure skill alignment, and track deliverables against timelines.
Risk & Quality Management :
- Identify potential risks in technology, timelines, or operations; define mitigation plans.
- Ensure automation solutions meet compliance standards and internal IT/security policies.
- Oversee testing and validation phases to ensure stability before deployment.
Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including requirements, designs, runbooks, and test cases.
- Create dashboards, project reports, and ROI analysis for leadership using Smartsheet.
Process Optimization & Innovation :
- Recommend process improvements through automation and digital transformation.
- Stay current with automation trends such as RPA, ServiceNow, Ansible, Terraform, and DevOps tools.
- Lead innovation by introducing new methods and emerging technologies to optimize outcomes.
Essential Skillset :
- Smartsheet expertise Mandatory (dashboard creation, reporting, project intake management).
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification Mandatory.
- ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certification Minimum required.
- Strong background in Automation & DevOps projects within Managed Services environments.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks, IT fundamentals, and emerging technology trends.
- Strong business, analytical, and program management skills.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to eliminate barriers and deliver measurable results.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication (verbal, written, presentation).
- Agile mindset with adaptability in managing ambiguity and dynamic requirements.
Education & Experience :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant technical field.
5+ years of experience managing complex IT programs/projects, particularly in :
- Software development
- Automation initiatives
- Managed Services transitions
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects with enterprise clients
