Automation Lead - Cypress/Selenium

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives across web, desktop, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and modern DevOps practices, while also demonstrating leadership and mentorship capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and execution of both manual and automated test cases across multiple platforms (Web, Desktop, API).

- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using tools such as TestComplete, ACCELQ, ReadyAPI, Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, and TestRail.

- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify high-impact test scenarios for automation.

- Create, maintain, and integrate customized test reports with test management systems.

- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end software quality.

- Perform root cause analysis for defects and drive resolution in coordination with cross-functional teams.

- Contribute to CI/CD automation pipelines and ensure continuous testing integration.

- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers.

- Communicate test strategies, plans, progress, and results clearly to all stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6- 8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in both manual and automation testing.

- Proven expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks across various tools and technologies.

- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Gherkin, or any similar programming language.

- Hands-on experience in UI, API, and performance testing automation tools.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC (Agile & Waterfall).

- Experience working with SQL / PostgreSQL or similar database technologies.

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
