Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with 46 years of experience to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, managing, and optimizing development pipelines, enabling efficient software delivery through automation and DevOps best practices. This role requires hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools, scripting, infrastructure automation, and continuous improvement of deployment processes.

The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience working in agile environments, and the ability to support immediate project requirements. Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment processes.

- Manage and optimize Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.

- Work with Gerrit for code review processes, repository management, and integration with build pipelines.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash/Shell scripting to streamline development and operational tasks.

- Support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment orchestration.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve software delivery speed and reliability.

- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and automation bottlenecks.

- Implement DevOps best practices for version control, monitoring, release management, and environment provisioning.

- Improve system performance, scalability, and stability through automation and process enhancements.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and process improvement initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards in automation workflows.

- Support build and release management activities for ongoing and new projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 46 years of hands-on experience in Automation Engineering / DevOps roles.

- Strong experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.

- Good exposure to Gerrit for code review and repository workflows.

- Strong scripting expertise in Python and Bash/Shell.

- Solid understanding of DevOps principles, automation frameworks, and software delivery pipelines.

- Experience in infrastructure automation and environment management.

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and system administration concepts.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills:

- Exposure to tools like Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.

- Experience with monitoring/logging tools is an added advantage.

- Understanding of release engineering and build management concepts.
