About The Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI and API Test Automation using Playwright and TypeScript.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience automating Angular-based web applications, designing scalable automation frameworks, and integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires an individual contributor who can independently drive automation initiatives and collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for Angular-based web applications.

- Build and maintain REST API automation suites for functional and regression testing.

- Validate API requests, responses, authentication mechanisms, and data integrity.

- Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation components.

- Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.

- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

- Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and test strategy discussions.

- Ensure automation coverage across functional, integration, and regression testing areas.

- Contribute to process improvements, automation best practices, and quality engineering initiatives.

Mandatory Skills:

- 4 to 8 years of experience in Software Test Automation.

- Strong experience in UI Automation for Angular applications.

- Hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript.

- Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch.

- Strong knowledge of REST API Automation using Playwright or similar automation tools.

- Experience in API validation, authentication testing, and data-driven testing.

- Good understanding of:

4. Browser Developer Tools

- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

- Strong knowledge of Git-based source control systems.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including:

1. Test Planning & Test Case Management

2. Build & Release Pipelines

3. Work Item Tracking

4. Reporting & Dashboards

- Experience with cloud-based applications and platforms.

- Knowledge of modern Quality Engineering practices.
