Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned SDET with expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) and API test automation (Rest Assured).

You will design and maintain robust test automation frameworks, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and ensure product quality throughout CI/CD pipelines in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and Rest Assured

- Create and execute automated test scripts for web and RESTful API validation, covering regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios

- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar, enabling automated test execution and reporting

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery

- Troubleshoot automation failures, analyze test logs, and drive continuous improvement of testing workflows

- Mentor junior QA engineers and help foster best practices in automation engineering within the team

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in software test engineering or quality automation roles

- Strong proficiency in Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript

- Solid experience in API automation using Rest Assured (Java)

- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript for writing reliable and maintainable automation scripts

- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (BRD, POM, modular design, etc.)

- Hands-on experience integrating automation into CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in Agile development teams

- Problem-solving mindset and ability to drive quality through systematic testing
