Automation Engineer - Linux/Unix Environments

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with strong scripting expertise and hands-on experience in automation tools and Linux/Unix environments.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Ansible, Python/Perl, and version control systems, with additional exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and debug automation scripts using Ansible, ensuring efficient playbook creation and issue resolution.

- Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient Perl/Python code.

- Write and optimize Bash/Shell scripts for automation tasks (added advantage).

- Manage and maintain source code repositories using SVN or Git.

- Work with Linux/Unix operating systems, executing basic commands and system operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into the existing infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot automation and deployment issues, ensuring smooth execution of workflows.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Hands-on experience with Ansible (playbook creation & debugging).

- Proficiency in Perl and/or Python scripting.

- Understanding of SVN or Git version control systems.

- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and basic command-line operations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage Skills :

- Bash/Shell scripting expertise.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Azure Cloud.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of load balancers and related configurations.
