Automation Engineer - Ansible Tower

Job Summary :

The role supports supportability automation, monitoring integration, and CI/CD-aligned deployment processes across integration and production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Supportability Automation :

- Develop automated procedures and runbooks to simplify support for PCE solutions

- Create automation scripts using Ansible Tower, Python, Shell, and Terraform

- Design runbooks for upgrade, update, and troubleshooting activities

- Ensure alignment with CI/CD processes and software development best practices

Monitoring - Application Development :

- Automate integration of multiple monitoring and observability tools

- Develop cloud-native services for deploying monitoring components

- Integrate monitoring services into the software delivery framework

- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps

Monitoring - DevOps Activities :

- Support deployment in integration and production environments

- Triage and resolve issues related to monitoring components

- Provide update and upgrade support for monitoring tools

- Enhance deployment automation and improve observability workflows

Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain documentation for Ansible Tower workflows, deployment procedures, and automation scripts

- Track and report automation metrics, deployment status, and issue resolution

- Ensure accurate effort tracking and alignment with project management tools

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible Tower and automation scripting

- Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and Terraform

- Experience in integrating monitoring tools and cloud-native services

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Knowledge of security compliance and vulnerability management

- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and documentation skills

Deliverables :

- Ansible Tower workflows and automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning

- Monitoring integration components and deployment automation

- Issue resolution documentation and support runbooks

- Timely updates in project tracking systems and delivery dashboards

- Hands on experience on Ansible Tower.

- DevOps hands-on tooling experience Kubernetes, terraform GITHUB, Jenkins, Ansible paly book & Ansible Tower.

- Experience in Jenkins pipeline.

- Strong Linux administration experience within a complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environment.

- In-depth knowledge of Ansible Tower & Ansible Engine.

- In-depth automation and scripting skills including use of a scripting languages-Groovy
