Automation Engineer

Description :

- Collaborate with key product stakeholders to understand the overall process and the actions requiring automating

- Design and implement performant resilient automation to address the manual aspects of the process

- Apply security by default secrets management least privilege vulnerability management

- Monitor and improve process performance optimising to not only meet the objective but provide head room to cater for unknown scenarios

- Automate both process and the testing of the automation to assure it works whenever it is required

Skills Required :

Essential :

- 3 years delivering Ansible based automation into Jenkins CICD pipelines

- Strong scripting skills Python Go Bash etc

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Fluency in written and spoken English and be comfortable working in a multi cultured global environment

- Working experience in Agile methodologies

- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment

- Strong documentation collaboration and ownership mindset

Desirable :

- Experience of working with and improving IT Services underpinned by vendor software

- Product domain experience in one or more of File Transmission products eg IBM SFGSSPSEASCD Mainframe zOS and job execution workflows BMC ControlM

- An understanding of financial services compliance and risk management requirements
