Position Overview :

Autodesk is the company that empowers our customers to Make Anything. The Autodesk Enterprise Security Team is the group responsible for protecting our global workforce from threats.

The Autodesk Enterprise Security Team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and help build a robust cloud security program focused on automated policy enforcement, compliance, and best practices.

As a Principal Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in securing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that it meets industry security standards, and automating security controls to ensure continuous compliance.

This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, India.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the development and maintenance of an effective cloud security strategy to safeguard company assets across public and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

- Implement automated security controls and continuous compliance monitoring mechanisms

- Strengthen cloud architecture by implementing security controls like identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and data protection.

- Ensure secure configurations and mitigate any potential vulnerabilities

- Work closely with DevOps, Cloud Operations, and development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the cloud development lifecycle.

- Advise on secure application design and cloud resource management

- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive security tasks and improve the cloud security posture through optimization and innovation

- Advanced expert role, requiring deep subject-matter knowledge and sound business acumen to advise leaders

- Incumbents translate specialized subject matter requirements into business needs/requirements

- Requires depth of specialized expertise to interpret internal/external business issues and recommend best practices to address them

Minimum Qualifications :

- 7 + years experience in enterprise security operations, threat modeling, cybersecurity, anomaly detection, and/or security engineering

- 3+ years of experience in cloud security or a related field, with strong expertise in implementing security in cloud environments

- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including their native security tools and services

- Expertise in developing automated security policies using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar

- Strong proficiency with cloud-native security mechanisms, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, and network security

- Experience with security tools for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and compliance monitoring

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar are highly preferred

- Experience utilizing cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools to enforce and report upon security state

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Computer engineering or equivalent work experience

Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package.

Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location.
