- Job Summary

The Principal Engineer Frontend Development is a senior technical leader responsible for defining frontend architecture, driving engineering excellence, and delivering scalable, high-performance user interfaces.

- This role partners closely with product, design, and backend teams to build world-class web applications while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards across the organization.

- Key Responsibilities

- Define and own frontend architecture, design patterns, and best practices

- Lead technical decision-making for frontend frameworks, tools, and libraries

- Ensure applications are scalable, performant, secure, and maintainable

- Design, develop, and optimize complex, responsive web applications

- Build reusable components and frontend frameworks

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG standards)

- Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers

- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

- Participate in roadmap planning and technical feasibility discussions

- Set coding standards and conduct design and code reviews

- Drive test automation, CI/CD integration, and performance monitoring

- Promote clean code, documentation, and maintainability

- Mentor senior and junior frontend engineers

- Provide technical guidance and career development support

- Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and ownership

- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends

- Evaluate and introduce new tools and frameworks when appropriate

- Drive frontend modernization initiatives

Qualifications & Experience :

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience :

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 6+ years in frontend development

- Proven experience in leading large-scale frontend systems

Technical Skills :

- Expert in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3

- Deep expertise in modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

- Strong experience with state management (Redux, MobX, NgRx, etc.)

- Experience with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel)

- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and frontend-backend integration

- Strong understanding of performance optimization and browser internals

- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
