Auriga - Lead Engineer - System Design

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Lead Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate will lead engineering initiatives, mentor development teams, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build high-quality, reliable, and innovative products.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end software development activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-performance applications.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business teams to define technical solutions.

- Drive technical architecture discussions, system design, and engineering best practices.

- Review code, ensure coding standards, and maintain high-quality software delivery processes.

- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.

- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Ensure application security, scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Contribute to CI/CD implementation, automation, and deployment optimization.

- Monitor production systems and support incident resolution activities.

- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve engineering efficiency.

- Maintain technical documentation and development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, C#, or similar

- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (if applicable)

- Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms

- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
