Role Overview :

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of software solutions by designing robust testing frameworks and implementing effective automation strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate features, identify defects, and perform in-depth analysis to maintain high-quality standards across the product lifecycle.

This role requires strong expertise in automation, deep understanding of software development principles, and the ability to collaborate with development teams to ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Framework Design & Enhancement :

- Design, develop, and enhance scalable and maintainable testing frameworks to support automated and manual testing needs.

- Continuously improve existing test frameworks to ensure efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Automation & Test Development :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of software solutions.

- Ensure automation coverage aligns with application complexity and business requirements.

- Possess a strong understanding of the automation testing process and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Validation :

- Validate features rigorously to ensure they meet defined quality standards and functional expectations.

- Perform end-to-end testing to ensure system stability and performance under different scenarios.

- Ensure software solutions are tested thoroughly for reliability and scalability.

Defect Identification & Root Cause Analysis :

- Identify, log, and track defects in a structured manner.

- Perform root cause analysis to understand issues and prevent recurrence.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure testability.

- Provide quality insights and feedback throughout the development lifecycle.

Process & Quality Improvement :

- Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and overall quality practices.

- Support the adoption of quality-driven development practices within the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or SDET roles.

- Strong hands-on experience in automation testing and software quality assurance.

Technical & Functional Skills :

- Strong understanding of Computer Science concepts and principles.

- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development.

- Expertise in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

- Familiarity with testing frameworks, tools, and testing methodologies.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify quality risks effectively.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure shared quality ownership.

Additional Skills :

- Experience working in Agile development environments is a plus.
