About the Role :
We are seeking a seasoned Technology Leader to collaborate with the CTOs office in shaping and executing the IT strategy for our India Centre. This is a pivotal role focused on building and scaling a high-performing technology function, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with global business priorities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong people leader, and a hands-on technologist capable of influencing across levels.
Key Responsibilities :
Technology Strategy & Initiatives :
- Define, scope, and execute strategic tech initiatives aligned with global objectives.
- Drive innovation, automation, and digital transformation efforts across the India Centre.
IT Organization Building :
- Establish the IT organization from the ground up in India.
- Define talent strategy and recruit top-tier technology professionals for long-term scalability.
Program Management :
- Lead end-to-end program delivery with an emphasis on timelines, quality, and impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, automation, support, and global teams to deliver results.
Stakeholder Engagement :
- Act as a bridge between global and India-based teams; work closely with the CTOs office and other senior stakeholders.
- Represent India in global technology forums and contribute to shaping HQ-level strategies.
Vendor to In-House Transition :
- Lead the transformation of third-party vendor setups into fully in-house teams.
- Ensure seamless knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and capability ramp-up.
Requirements :
- Experience : 15 - 20 years in technology leadership roles, ideally within large global MNCs.
- Global Exposure : Minimum 8 years working with international stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Technical Expertise : Strong foundation in software engineering, automation, enterprise platforms, and data analytics.
- Leadership : Proven track record in building and scaling IT organizations from the ground up.
- Program Management : Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Communication : Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in establishing or scaling technology capability centres (CoEs) in India.
- Prior engagement with CTO/CIO office transformation programs.
