Associate Engineering Vice President

Role Overview :

The AVP - Engineering will lead high-performing teams, drive technical strategy, and ensure successful delivery of scalable products. This role blends hands-on architecture thinking with leadership in execution, team growth, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute the engineering roadmap in line with HELO.AIs business and product strategy

- Manage and mentor engineering teams across product verticals (backend, frontend, AI, DevOps, etc.)

- Own system design, architecture reviews, and critical technology decisions

- Work closely with Product, Design, and Business to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable features

- Establish best practices in code quality, security, testing, and deployment

- Lead the hiring, onboarding, and professional development of engineers

- Set up and improve engineering workflows for faster and safer delivery

- Monitor and manage project timelines, resource planning, and team performance metrics

Requirements :

- 10+ years of total software engineering experience, including 2+ years in engineering leadership roles

- Strong technical background in system design, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with AI/ML-powered products or data-heavy platforms

- Strong architectural judgment with a history of designing and scaling high-performance systems

- Familiarity with compliance, security, and performance optimization best practices
