Job Description
Role Overview :
As an Associate Director of Security, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments. Your day-to-day will involve designing, implementing, and managing security controls, responding to security incidents, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. You'll collaborate closely with IT infrastructure teams, application development teams, and security operations to maintain a robust security posture. Your work will directly impact the security and availability of critical business systems, protecting sensitive data and ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement security policies, standards, and procedures for Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory and Azure Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, groups, and permissions, to ensure secure and efficient access to resources.
- Monitor security logs and alerts, investigate security incidents, and implement remediation measures to minimize the impact of security breaches.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate security tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance security monitoring capabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a security-conscious culture and reduce the risk of human error.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend security enhancements to protect the organization's assets.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage Active Directory and Azure Active Directory security solutions.
- Proven expertise in using PowerShell scripting to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.
- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve security issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Secure and maintain Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) environments
- Design and implement AD security baselines aligned with Microsoft best practices
- Apply tiered administration model (Tier 0, Tier 1, Tier 2)
- Harden domain controllers, FSMO roles, and replication topology
- Secure authentication protocols (Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, LDAPS)
- Strong hands-on expertise in Active Directory Domain Services
- Deep understanding of Windows authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Experience securing multi-domain and multi-forest environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell for AD administration and security automation
- Strong troubleshooting skills for AD replication, DNS, and authentication failures
