Assistant Vice President - SQL Server

Role Summary :

The AVP Techno-Functional for the SQL Development team will be responsible for leading and managing a large-scale SQL development and support team. This role requires a strong technical background in SQL development, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex SQL projects and managing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Project Delivery : Lead and deliver complex SQL projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Technical Expertise : Possess a deep understanding of SQL databases and development methodologies, including MS SQL, or other SQL dialects.

- Database Design : Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas, considering performance, data integrity, and security.

- Query Optimization : Analyze and optimize SQL queries for performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.

- Data Warehousing and ETL : Develop data warehouses and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

- Stakeholder Management : Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and addressing their needs.

- Continuous Improvement : Drive process optimization and innovation within the SQL development team, exploring new technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 18-25 years of experience in SQL development and implementation.

- Proven track record of managing large-scale SQL projects.

- Strong technical expertise in SQL databases and development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).

- Knowledge of data modeling and data governance concepts.

- Experience in a consulting or services environment.
