What Makes This Role Exciting :

As a Software Engineer L3, you will be the technical backbone for your product area architecting systems, leading multi-quarter initiatives, and shaping the engineering culture for years to come. You will operate with high autonomy, drive clarity from ambiguity, and influence business outcomes at scale.

You will be the go-to person for :

- Architecting, owning, and delivering complex, multi-quarter projects end-to-end defining and driving the technical vision for your domain.

- Identifying and resolving architectural bottlenecks, scaling core systems, and strengthening performance, resilience, and reliability.

- Collaborating with product, design, and business leaders to convert ambiguous, high-level goals into actionable technical strategies and roadmaps.

- Championing operational excellence, improving monitoring, alerting, incident response, and system-wide reliability practices.

- Mentoring L1 and L2 engineers, writing high-quality design documents, leading code reviews, and raising the engineering bar across the team.

Are You the One We Need :

- Architectural-level expertise in a modern language : TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, or Java.

- Proven ability to design, build, and operate scalable distributed systems on AWS or GCP.

- Deep expertise in Web APIs (REST/GraphQL).

- Deep expertise in Caching patterns (Redis).

- Deep expertise in Asynchronous processing (message queues).

- Advanced skills designing and optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases for high-traffic systems.

- Mastery of CI/CD, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code principles (Terraform).

Nice to Have :

- Advanced DB performance tuning.

- Distributed systems design experience.

- Expertise with IaC tools like Terraform.

- Experience with prompt engineering or AI-assisted development.

Qualifications That Shine :

- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and leading multi-team architecture initiatives.

- Deep specialization in database performance tuning, query optimization, and scalable data modeling.

- Strong proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, including multi-environment deployments.

- Expertise in observability OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry.

- Experience leading org-wide technical initiatives and uplifting engineering capability.

- Exposure to prompt engineering or AI-assisted development workflows.

- 8 to 12 years of professional software engineering experience with a history of shipping high-impact products.
