About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Engineer to join our technology team. The role involves managing and supporting Level 2/3 solutions across highly available platforms and business-critical products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AS400 systems, database technologies, and modern automation practices, while also contributing to infrastructure management, security, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain DB2 for IBM and SQL Server databases.

- Work with LANSA applications (highly regarded but not essential).

- Support Java-based applications and Apache Tomcat (Java Web Application server).

- Perform Windows Server management and administration.

- Implement and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring tools.

- Manage SSL certificates, vulnerability remediation, and patching processes.

- Conduct capacity planning and management for systems and applications.

- Ensure disaster recovery and high availability strategies are in place.

- Work with APIs and support integration-related initiatives.

- Provide exposure and support for Akamai, SSO, Load Balancers (F5), and Firewalls.

- Use ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence for IT service and project management.

- Manage AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift).

- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Implement DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild.

Key Skills & Experience :

- Strong knowledge of AS400 platform and DB2/SQL Server databases.

- Hands-on expertise in automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

- Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.

- Knowledge of Windows Server administration and Java/Tomcat applications.

- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps CI/CD tools.

- Experience with vulnerability management, SSL certificates, and system patching.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with APIs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSO solutions.

- Familiarity with capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and working knowledge of ServiceNow.
