AS400 Developer - RPG/DB2

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and support applications on IBM iSeries (AS400) using CLLE, RPGLE, and SQLRPGLE.

- Design and write complex queries, stored procedures, and optimize database operations on DB2 400/SQL400.

- Implement and maintain web services, and handle file transfer methods such as MQs, IFS, and SFTPs.

- Participate in incident management including MSGW handling, debugging, root cause analysis, and SLA management.

- Support change management processes using tools like ALDON.

- Collaborate with end users and cross-functional teams to provide timely support and ensure business continuity.

- Prepare comprehensive test scenarios, perform testing, and maintain high-quality technical documentation.

- Adhere to best practices in software development and quality assurance.

- Demonstrate excellent customer orientation and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.

Required Skills :

- Strong programming background in IBM iSeries (AS400) technologies : CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE.

- Expertise in DB2 400 / SQL400 query language and debugging.

- Experience in stored procedures, web services, and file transfer mechanisms (MQs, IFS, SFTPs).

- Knowledge of change management tools, preferably ALDON.

- Good understanding of retail and wholesale business processes.

- Ability to write complex queries and develop test cases.

- Strong documentation skills with high attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with JDA MMS and ESB Web methods is a plus.
