Title : AS400/COBOL Developer.

Job Description :

Role & Responsibilities :

- AS400 Development : Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the IBM i Series (AS400) environment.

- Coding & Scripting : Utilize COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL (Control Language) for coding, scripting, and system configurations.

- Database Management : Work with AS400 databases, understanding their structure and hierarchy.

- System Operations : Navigate and utilize IBM i Series commands and understand the library hierarchy.

- Troubleshooting : Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues within AS400 applications.

- Collaboration : Work effectively within SAFe/Agile teams, participating in daily scrums, sprint planning, and reviews.

- Change Management : Utilize change management tools to manage code versions and deployments efficiently.

- Communication : Clearly communicate technical details and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For :

- Experience : 6+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL.

- AS400 Environment : Solid working experience in the IBM i Series (AS400) environment, including commands and a basic understanding of databases and library hierarchy.

- Methodologies : Experience working on teams utilizing SAFe/Agile methodologies.

- Tools (Good to Have) : Knowledge of AS400 tools such as DBU, SEQUEL, Work Query, CA2E Implementor, and ROBOT.

Skills : Strong analytical and good communication skills.
