Arokee is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to build scalable, reliable, and performance-driven backend systems.

You will work closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to design APIs, manage data at scale, and integrate third-party platforms.

Job Title : Backend Developer (Nodejs, Nextjs, Nestjs)

Experience : 5+ Years

Location : Bangalore (Onsite)

Notice Period : Immediate

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript

- Build and manage backend logic using Next.js API routes (or equivalent server-side frameworks)

- Implement robust request lifecycle handling, middleware, and standardized error handling

- Design SSR-aware backend patterns to support server-rendered applications

- Architect and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments :

- Schema design and normalization

- Indexing strategies

- Query optimization

- Transactions and concurrency control

- Work with ORMs (Prisma preferred) :

1. Schema modeling

2. Migrations

3. Data seeding strategies

- Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization flows

- Integrate and manage third-party APIs, including :

1. Google Search Console

2. Google Analytics (GA4)

- Ensure performance, security, scalability, and observability of backend services

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript

- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs

- Experience with Next.js API routes or similar backend frameworks

- Solid understanding of :

1. HTTP request lifecycle

2. Middleware patterns

3. Centralized error handling

- Strong production experience with PostgreSQL

- Experience using ORMs, preferably Prisma

- Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0

- Experience integrating external APIs (Google APIs a plus)

- Good understanding of backend performance, security, and scalability best practices

Nice to Have :

- Experience with serverless environments

- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and debugging tools

- Exposure to SSR and full-stack architectures

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
