As a Frontend Engineer at Aquera, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into high-performing, visually engaging, and responsive user interfaces that align with the products core objectives.

Role Overview :

The Frontend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing dynamic and responsive user interfaces for Aqueras web-based products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and fluid web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Angular 2+.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and adherence to web standards.

- Develop clean, modular, reusable, and scalable UI components and front-end architectures.

- Implement RESTful API integrations and ensure smooth communication between frontend and backend systems.

- Use modern frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM to optimize performance and workflow efficiency.

UI/UX & Design Implementation :

- Work closely with the design team to transform wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups into functional interfaces.

- Maintain high-quality visual standards and brand consistency across all web properties.

- Ensure pixel-perfect design implementation, focusing on usability, accessibility, and performance optimization.

- Develop responsive email templates and UIs, ensuring seamless adaptability across devices and screen sizes.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration :

- Act as a lead developer and mentor to junior UI engineers, providing guidance on coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

- Collaborate with backend engineers to design efficient data exchange and API consumption strategies.

- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Drive technical decisions, identify risks early, and propose scalable solutions for complex challenges.

Performance & Quality Assurance :

- Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and performance.

- Implement testing and debugging procedures to ensure robust and error-free user experiences.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in frontend development.

- Maintain thorough documentation for code, configurations, and design structures.

Product Involvement :

- Understand the core business purpose and user needs of the product to contribute strategically to frontend design and functionality.

- Provide inputs on product architecture, UX flow, and design improvements based on customer and technical feedback.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Key Requirements :

Experience : 3 - 7 years of experience in Frontend/UI Development.

Core Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Angular 2+, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

- Deep understanding of UI fundamentals, object-oriented programming (OOP), and MVC architecture.

- Experience working with RESTful APIs and HTTP standards.

- Proficiency with frontend build and automation tools (Webpack, Babel, NPM).

- Strong experience with version control tools such as Git or Subversion.

UI/UX & Design :

- Expertise in developing responsive, cross-browser-compatible, and mobile-friendly UIs.

- Ability to create fluid layouts that adapt seamlessly to enhancements and evolving requirements.

Agile Methodology : Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.

Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Team Leadership : Prior experience leading or mentoring a small frontend team is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Middleware Integration, Identity Management (IDM), or Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).

- Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway.

- Familiarity with performance engineering, project estimation, and software architecture patterns.

- Basic understanding of server technologies, web servers, and their configuration for frontend integration.

- Exposure to UI testing frameworks and code optimization tools.
