Application Tester - API Testing

Job Title : Application Tester Microservices & Python Automation

Location : Bangalore (Onsite)

Employment Type : 6 months Contract + extendable

Experience : 5 -7 Years

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement automated test cases using Python for validating APIs and backend services.

- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of microservices-based applications.

- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to support scalable testing.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA engineers to create test strategies and CI/CD pipelines.

- Identify, isolate, and document defects clearly and concisely.

- Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and daily stand-ups.

- Contribute to test data creation, mocking services, and environment setup for microservices.

- Ensure test coverage of critical paths and edge cases in the service communication flow.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience with microservices testing, including RESTful APIs, service contracts, and message queues.

- Proficiency in tools like Postman, REST Assured, PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments for testing.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Familiarity with service mocking, virtualization, and contract testing (e.g., using Pact).

- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
