Application Support Engineer - Linux/Windows Server

Title : Application Developer Linux / Windows.

Location : Remote India.

Duration : 10 Months.

Notice period : Immediate / 30 days.

Preferred : Banking domain and capital markets.

If experience is trading application with respect to maintenance and support then it will have added advantage to the role.

Description :

Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux/windows server environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting application deployments, performing routine server maintenance, troubleshooting network and system issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of critical applications.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Perform application deployments on Linux servers across development, UAT, and production

environments.

- Conduct file-level operations such as editing configuration files, managing logs, and handling file transfers.

- Execute disk space checks, monitor system performance, and perform cleanup activities.

- Use network troubleshooting commands (e.g., ping, netstat, traceroute, telnet, curl, etc.) to diagnose connectivity issues.

- Apply Linux commands for file and directory management (ls, cp, mv, rm, chmod, chown, find, grep, etc.)

- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application and server-related issues.

- Maintain and update shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.

- Monitor application logs and system alerts (CPU,Memory) to proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Ability to work on Oracle Server.

- Good knowledge in client browsers and configurations.

- Good Knowledge in Windows services

- Ability to review, understand system documentation.

- Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.

- Ability to interpret solution documentation and identify areas of concern and recommend approach.

- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
