Description : Application Development & Support Manager

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Application Development & Support Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end development, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing distributed teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :


- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture.

- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring quality, timeliness, and

scalability.

- Review and approve technical designs, code, and documentation.

- Ensure alignment with business goals and technology strategy.

Application Support :


- Oversee Level 1- Level 3 application support activities.


- Ensure timely resolution of production issues, bugs, and performance problems.

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes.

- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures.

Team Management :


- Manage and mentor development and support teams (remote + onshore/offshore).

- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure SLA adherence.

- Conduct performance reviews and support skill development.

Stakeholder Management :


- Work closely with business users, product owners, and leadership teams.


- Provide project updates, risk assessments, and improvement recommendations.

- Manage vendor/partner coordination when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications :


- 10+ years of experience in application development and support.


- Strong experience with .NET/Java/Python or other enterprise technologies.

- Good understanding of databases (SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL).

- Experience in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) preferred.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines.

- Proven experience managing remote teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to handle production issues under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.

- Previous experience in managing customer-facing or mission-critical applications.

Soft Skills :

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
