Job Description :

We are looking for an Application Developer (Open Source) with strong expertise in Unix/PowerShell scripting, SQL, and open-source application development. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications, automating system processes, and optimizing performance in business-critical production environments. The candidate should have hands-on experience with system scripting, application troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain open-source applications for business operations.

- Write and optimize Unix shell and PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and system management.

- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned database solutions.

- Automate repetitive tasks and system workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Troubleshoot and debug application/system issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and QA) to implement solutions.

- Contribute to system optimization, code reviews, and documentation.

Primary Skills (Must-Have) :

- Unix Shell Scripting & PowerShell Scripting : automation, process management, system monitoring.

- SQL : complex queries, optimization, performance tuning, data manipulation.

- Open Source Application Development : hands-on development experience with open-source frameworks/tools.

- Problem-Solving & Debugging : analytical skills for root-cause identification and resolution.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : ability to work with multiple technical teams.

Good to Have (Optional Skills) :

- Exposure to DevOps tools CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, etc.

- Experience with system automation & monitoring frameworks.

- Familiarity with cloud environments AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.

Education Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Certifications in Linux/Unix, SQL, or Cloud platforms would be an added advantage.
