Application Developer - Linux/Windows Server

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Application Developer with strong hands-on experience in both Linux and Windows server environments to support critical application deployments and provide robust operational support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining system reliability and resolving technical issues that affect application performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform application deployments and configuration on Linux servers across development, UAT, and production environments.

- Conduct file-level operations including editing configuration files, managing logs, and handling secure file transfers.

- Monitor disk space, system performance, and perform cleanup activities to ensure servers operate optimally.

- Use network troubleshooting tools and commands (ping, netstat, traceroute, telnet, curl, etc.) to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.

- Apply Linux command-line expertise for managing files and directories (ls, cp, mv, rm, chmod, chown, find, grep).

- Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application and server-related problems swiftly.

- Maintain and update shell scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

- Monitor application logs and system alerts (CPU, memory usage) to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

- Support Windows server environments, including Windows services and client browser configurations.

- Ability to work with Oracle Server and interpret system and solution documentation to recommend and implement improvements.

- Manage multiple tasks efficiently within a dynamic operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience or exposure in the banking domain and capital markets is highly advantageous.

- Experience supporting trading applications maintenance and support is a plus.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create and maintain clear system documentation.
