Application DBA Scripting Specialist - Greenplum

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage, configure, and maintain relational databases (e.g., Greenplum, Db2, Singlestore).

- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring setup to ensure database efficiency.

- Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.

- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.

- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to support database integration and deployment.

- Ensure database security, compliance, and version control practices (e.g., Git).

- Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide proactive solutions.

- Document processes, standards, and best practices for database management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 57 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.

- Strong expertise in Greenplum, Db2, and Singlestore databases.

- Advanced proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.

- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring tools.

- Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and high-availability mechanisms.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
