About the Role :

We are seeking skilled Appian Developers with strong hands-on experience in Appian design, development, and architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Appian Objects, integrations, automation, and enterprise-level solution design. This role involves collaborating with global teams, delivering end-to-end Appian implementations, and supporting clients with high-quality automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Appian Development & Architecture :

- Design, develop, test, and deliver intelligent automation solutions using Appian BPM.

- Work on system-level and enterprise architecture, including solution design, infrastructure setup, and deployment.

- Lead and support end-to-end Appian implementations (Design / Develop / Deploy / Package).

- Build Appian components such as Records, Reports, Tasks, Sites, Expression Rules, Web APIs, Integrations, and Process Models.

Technical Expertise :

- Extensive hands-on experience with Appian Objects : Records, Reports, Tasks, Actions, CDTs, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web APIs, Interface Rules, Process Models, Decisions, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, Feeds, etc.

- Strong understanding of Appian solution and infrastructure architecture, including :

1. Appian In-Memory KDB Engines

2. Custom properties

3. Topology

4. Vertical/Horizontal scaling

5. Sizing models

- Strong knowledge of application servers such as JBOSS, TOMCAT, and web servers like Apache.

- Experience integrating with SOAP & REST APIs, ESBs (e.g., MuleSoft), and external authentication systems.

Advanced Appian Capabilities (Preferred) :

- Hands-on experience writing Appian Plugins :

1. Smart Services, Function Plugins, Servlet Plugins, Connected Systems, UI Component Plugins.

- Experience with Embedded SAIL and Appian Portals.

Additional Technical Skills :

- Experience with J2EE technologies : JSP, Java Servlets, EJBs, JDBC, etc.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools : Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub.

- Ability to work in SAFe Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments.

Qualifications & Certifications :

- Appian Lead Developer Certification Mandatory.

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent field.

- 4+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.

- Ability to engage directly with clients, understand business challenges, and propose effective solutions.

- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.

- Capable of supporting consultants, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to successful engagement delivery.
