A leading Multinational Corporation (MNC) client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Appian Developer to join their dynamic team.

This is a permanent, full-time remote position open to candidates across India (PAN India).

We require an immediate joiner (or a notice period of no more than 15 days) to support our critical Appian development initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a key player in an Agile environment, focusing on developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality Appian applications.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Appian Application Development & Delivery :

- Design, develop, and implement complex Appian applications using all types of Appian objects (e.g., interfaces, process models, records, reports, integrations, etc.

- Focus on quality improvements, bug fixing, and the general cleanup of technical debt within existing applications.

- Develop and integrate additional features and complex system integrations (e.g., web services, APIs) into the application based on approved user stories.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and peer reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and performance optimization.

- Perform development fine-tuning, regression testing, and collaborate closely with the QA team for comprehensive story testing and defect resolution.

Agile & Collaboration :

- Actively participate in the Agile sprint cycle, including Daily Standup Calls, Story Grooming/Refinement/Pointing, Demos, and Retrospective Sessions.

- Define, update, and elaborate on user stories to clearly articulate requirements and assist with backlog refinement and prioritization.

- Develop and peer review detailed acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure alignment with business needs.

- Manage and track development work on Jira boards, ensuring accurate status updates and adherence to sprint goals.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Analysts (BAs), QA team members, and the Production Support team.

- Support all phases of the Quality Assurance (QA) efforts.

Outcomes and Deliverables (Per Sprint Cycle) :

- Completion of assigned Appian application development tasks.

- Delivery of thoroughly peer-reviewed and unit-tested code.

- Successful completion of Story Testing in collaboration with the QA team.

- Documentation of development efforts and configurations as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Technical :

- Experience : 5 to 8 years of hands-on, proven experience as an Appian Developer.

- Expertise : Deep knowledge and proficiency in the full Appian platform and its features, including SAIL, Process Models, Records, Sites, Security, Integrations, and low-code design principles.

- Integration : Strong experience in developing and consuming integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP web services) with external systems.

- Database : Proficient in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and understanding Appian's interaction with underlying databases.

- Performance : Demonstrated ability to perform performance fine-tuning and optimization on Appian applications and processes.

Professional :

- Agile Proficiency : Solid understanding and practical experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

- Tooling : Hands-on experience with project and story management tools, specifically Jira.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality,

sustainable solutions.
