Appglide is looking for a Junior Website Administrator / Hosting Support Engineer to support the day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of websites and hosting environments.

This role is ideal for someone at the early stage of their career who is eager to build hands-on experience in web hosting, server support, and website operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Website & Hosting Support :


- Monitor website uptime, performance, and availability across hosting platforms.


- Assist in managing shared, VPS, and cloud hosting environments.


- Perform basic website deployment, configuration, and updates.


- Support domain, DNS, SSL certificate installation, and renewals.

Server & Infrastructure Support :


- Assist with routine server administration tasks on Linux/Windows servers.


- Support web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and IIS.


- Monitor server resources (CPU, memory, disk usage) and escalate issues when required.

Incident & Ticket Management :


- Respond to customer support tickets related to website downtime, hosting issues, and access problems.


- Troubleshoot common issues such as slow loading sites, broken links, email issues, and permission errors.


- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with proper documentation.

Security & Backup :



- Assist in managing website backups, restores, and basic security checks.


- Support malware scanning, basic hardening, and patch updates.


- Monitor logs for suspicious activity and report incidents.

Documentation & Coordination :


- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support guides.


- Coordinate with developers, designers, and third-party hosting providers.


- Provide basic customer guidance on hosting and website best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :


- Basic understanding of web hosting concepts (domains, DNS, SSL, FTP, cPanel/Plesk).


- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.


- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress (installation, themes, plugins).


- Basic knowledge of Linux commands and file systems.


- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, email hosting, and server logs.

Tools & Platforms :


- Experience with cPanel, Plesk, or similar control panels.


- Familiarity with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.


- Exposure to ticketing tools like Freshdesk, Zendesk, Jira, or similar.

Soft Skills :


- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.


- Good communication skills (written and verbal).


- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.


- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education :


- Bachelors degree / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.


- Relevant certifications (Linux, Cloud, Hosting) are a plus but not mandatory
