Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid, applying reusable policies for traffic management, security, transformation, caching, and mediation.

- Develop and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs, including SOAP-to-REST conversions, API versioning, and governance practices.

- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, SAML, and SSL/TLS within Apigee policy layers.

- Manage the API lifecycle, including developer portal setup, access controls, rate limiting, and monetization configurations.

- Monitor and optimize API performance using tools such as Apigee Analytics, Splunk, ELK, and gateway logs.

- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Apigee Deployment Manager.

- Develop custom policies and callouts using JavaScript, Java, Node.js, or Python for enhanced gateway logic.

- Deploy and manage Apigee environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

- Create and maintain API documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven experience in designing and implementing API solutions with Apigee.

- Strong knowledge of API security protocols and best practices.

- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows.

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment models.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
